Ecumenical

The Rabbi and the congregation have a close relationship with other religious organisations in the community. The Rabbi is currently the co-president of the Wellington Council of Christians and Jews on which other members of the congregation also serve. She is also active in the inner city ministries organisation and is a member of the St. Andrew’s Trust, which offers programmes on religious issues. She has spoken to numerous church groups and attended programmes with Moslem and Hindu leaders. Pulpit exchanges often lead to members of our congregation visiting others as well as their attending our services.

The congregation also supports the activities of the World Conference for Religion and Peace.
